Information about mesothelioma which is cancer of the lining of the lungs. This is commonly called asbestosis which is caused by exposure to friable asbestos. There has been massive exposure and it takes twenty years for the cancer to develop after exposure. Workers in shipyards and other industrial areas have developed mesothelioma. My father in law died from this exposure to asbestos.
